Are you a cow?
It really hurts my mind when someone eats loudly near me. Or even breathes loudly...
If you know, you know. Welcome to my club. (Do any of you know of a cure?)
If you don't know, then let me tell you, I'm not even kidding.
I stop being able to focus on anything else and I get genuinely frustrated to the point where sometimes I start planning how to walk away, or how to say something.
However, going through with the second option is really a hit or a miss... For example, Person X can actually be eating an apple normally. Therefore, even though the crunching noise is completely ridiculous and seriously inconsiderate (ha yes I know exactly how I must sound right now), for that person to hear me say "wow, you're really really enjoying that apple aren't you?" ends up just leaving them confused.

And still eating the apple.
Actually, probably eating it even slower than before.
Ps. You just can't make this stuff up.
Misophonia, literally "hatred of sound", was proposed in 2000 as a condition in which negative emotions, thoughts, and physical reactions are triggered by specific sounds. It is also called "select sound sensitivity syndrome" and "sound-rage".
