Turning 22: My five year plan
LISTS LISTS LISTS
Lists are the best things since sliced bread. If something needs to be done, put it on a list.
Today I did something new that made me realise how dependant I am on to-do lists. I have three separate lists on my phone (I start a new one every time the current starts to get messy (!)), and this morning I added a new entry to my current notepad page: "Organise to-do lists". Wow.
I am judging myself, but they still make me happy and this is why:
1. I am so organised. I might not be doing it right now, but at least I have acknowledged that I need to do it.
2. I can tick it off when I've done it - and therefore prove how productive I am. I might not have showered yet today but look how much I have done!!
3. My productivity is so aesthetically pleasing. Look at this notebook, look at the handwriting, look at my condensed typing... Just admit I am good at this. Is "list writer" a career possibility?
I turned 22 yesterday and wrote a new list. 20 things I want to try to achieve in the next 5 years.
It includes things like:
-Achieve a certain measurable fitness level (be able to swim 32 lengths without stopping)
-Become a blood donor
-Take the next Guitar grade (grade 4)
-Achieve certain measurables on my career path / salary
-Countries I want to visit
-Grown my hair to a specific length
Etc etc.
I'm looking forward to committing to one list for 1,826 days...
Yours Truly,
